Actually your better off eating fresh spinach that's not from the bag!
Bagged spinach and other greens can get bacteria when packaged. This has recently been found out. But be sure to wash it and dry before eating.

If it is ok not in the bag then you could just take it out. If you see spinach not in the bag, then how did they get it there without a bag? Did they carry each leaf individually?

The bottom line is you should not be able to get raw spinach now. Restaurants on TV said that their items with spinach will not be available.

NO! throw it away unless you yourself or someone else you know planted it. almost all the of the spinach coming into the country is infected with e coli. and YOU WILL GET SICK and probaby die. first, your kidneys fail, then you're on life support, but you keep getting sicker and sicker until you DIE!!!

It depends on where it was grown, and if any fecal matter has gotten on it...Make sure it is washed good, but not from any bags around!
