Our founding fathers lift the word "God" out of the Constitution of the United States, many believe they did this because the US was settled by people who where fleeing religious persecution and that they believed everyone was entitled to practice whatever religion they choose. If you agree with this, then shouldn't the Christian Terrorists constantly telling you you are going to hell because you aren't Christian be told to respect others and stop with the constant fire and brimstone?

Printing the Bible in America was also prohibited, and, except in the Indian dialects, it never was printed there till after the Revolution. These laws were to be enforced, not by the civil officers only, but by naval and military officers irresponsible to the civil power in the colonies. The penalties and forfeitures for breach of the revenue laws were to be decided in courts of vice-admiralty, without the interposition of a jury, by a single judge, who had no support whatever but from his own share in the profits of his own condemnations" [Ibid, p. 267].

Absolutely true.
Most of the founding fathers were not christians, despite the lingering and utterly incorrect assumption that they were. And yes they knew full well that, as Thomas Jefferson aptly put it;
"Freedom can be measured as the distance between church and state. Once those are together, all freedom is lost."
