Differences
Christinity already went through the dark ages in Europe.
Islam is going through the dark ages in the Middle East as we speak.
Similarities
Both have legimate revelations from God
All Prophets in both religions are descendents from Abraham.
Both think Jesus have a legimate connection of God
Both believe in the same thing, the only difference is that Christians don't believe Muhammad is a prophet, and Muslims don't believe Jesus is the Son of God, only a prophet. Muslims believe in the New and Old Testments. But Most Christians don't believe the Quran is a legimate revelation from God.

Basically the only similarity that Muslims have with Christians is that Jesus existed. They reject all of the New Testament and deny his divinity.

Their name for God is different too. For them it is Allah, but the name of God in Judaism and Christianity is Yahweh, nowhere is that name found in the Koran, or anywhere outside the Bible.

According to Islam will Christians go to heaven? No, according to Islam the only thing that will surely prevent you from going to heaven is believing in Jesus.

In my opinion i feel that is very interesting because in Christianity, Jesus says that he is the ONLY way: John 14:6. Satan hates God, and what better plan to prevent people from coming to God than to turn them away from Jesus.

well similarities, Muslims beleive that the Christian God is Allah difference is that Christians beleive Jesus to be son of God while Muslims think he is a prophet of Allah. Muslims beleive Muhammad PBUH to be the last of the prophets who completed the Allahs revelations and teachings while Christians do not agree with this, peace
only Allah knows who goes to heaven
feel free to email me with any questions on Islam

There are some similarities:

1. They are both monotheistic (one god)

2. They are both Abrahamic (based on the same God as Christians and the Jews)

3. They both have strict moral codes.

4. They both think of women as second-class citizens.

5. They both subscribe to the notion of prophets.

6. They both have sacred texts (bible and Q'uran)

Islam:

Allah (God Almighty) is the only Creator of all that exits.

There is one God (Allah). Jesus is the Christ, miracle birth- and Muhammad (p) is his last prophet, both of them said, "God is One and you have to serve Him with all your heart, mind and strength.

Allah reveals His 99 Divine Attributes and does not compare Himself to any of His creation.

Allah created man from dirt and "in His image" and of "His spirit," yet God has no likeness of anything in creation.

Adam & Eve sinned, then repented and were forgiven, with no continuing effects on their children.

God Forgives Adam and Eve after they repent. Then He makes Adam his deputy (caliph) and the first prophet.

Man is basically good but prone to mistakes. Muslims who repent and submit to God are forgiven without intercession from Christ (or anyone) needed.

Through submission to the Will of God in peace, anyone, anytime, any place becomes a servant of Allah and draw closer to Him.

Allah is not like His creation. He is neither male nor female, nor is creation like Him.

------------------------------------------

Christianity

God Almighty is the only Creator of all that exits. (Gen. 1:1)

There is one God. He exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (There is no "Trinity" in the Bible)

God has revealed Himself as "One God" and "One Lord" (Dueteronomy 6:3; Mark 12:29)

God created man from dirt and the image of God (Genesis 1)

Adam and Eve sinned and thus brought sin into the world and their sins passed on to their children. (Genesis 3:1-7)

Original Sin - all of Adam's posterity are born with a sin nature and are sinful from birth (Romans 3:22-23, 1st John 1:10)

Man is by nature sinful and has need for redemption by the atonement of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:6, 8:32, Colossians 1:19-20, Hebrews 7:26-27, 9:26, 10:12, 1st John 4:10)

Through the work of Christ, God adopts Christians into His family and calls them His children (Romans 8:14-15, Ephesians 1:5, Galatians 4:5)

Bible says; "God is not a man... not the son of man.." (Numbers 19:23) Other places contradicts this(?)

All you really need to know is Christianity is right. It is following the teachings of the righteous Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

Islam is wrong. It is following the immoral teachings of the false prophet Muhammad in the Quran.

One huge difference is the fact that no where in the Bible does God say His name is Allah. This is a false god and not the one and only God.
