There was just a study on benefits green tea done in China. In a NPR interview the research said he slightly recommended cold tea over hot tea because some rare study showed that mass consumption of hot beverages (which they drink +10 glasses a day in China) can cause esophageal cancer.
So in a long about way cold green tea is better then hot.

the question isn't whether or not cold vs hot green tea gives the same nutrients. They both are the same. What you need to ask is WHERE the green tea is coming from. Freshly brewed green tea is MUCH healthier than bottled green tea. Bottled green tea has preservatives, sugar, and the notion of drinking "lipton green tea" may just be a marketing gig. Always eat or drink fresh food or liquids and avoid foods that are processed. So, hot vs cold doesn't matter but where you get it matters

no, i don't believe so. i drink cooled green tea daily with a natural sweetener such as stevia, aka sweet leaf, and royal jelly. try to stay away from man made sweeteners. and the manufactured white/green teas may not have as much health benefits as they go through a rigorous processing method. stick to tea bags and natural teas.

all teas still keep their powerful antioxidants hot and cold. even the tea bags still keep the antioxidants after they are brewed. you can even put the cold tea bags on your eyes, and the antioxidants helps clear your eyes and helps get rid of "bagging eyes" it doesn"t matter what kind of tea it is, white, black, green or red tea. they are all goo for you. instant or powder tea, no.
