OK here we go again, the Pagan Priest guiding the christian back to God......
why would God talk about the dinosaurs in the bible. what meaning could they possibly have.
the bible is not an exact time line, when god says that it took 7 days to create the earth he also says that a day is like a thousand years to god and a thousand years like a day.
and that was just breaking it down to a point where the people of that time could understand it. god could have taken 60 billion years to create the earth and tried many life forms before he decided to make one in his image.
and on the seventh day he rested.....
how long did that take....remember how long a day is to god.
the only time frame that is really any kind of accurate is after the birth of Jesus. can you really trust primitive man to have a concept of time like we do today?
even durring the life of Jesus there are huge gaps in time, how many years of jesus's life are not accounted for?
the bible does mention large creatures that could very well be dinosaurs.
hope this helps.

Good question!
Acutally I believe, the Bible does refer to dinosaurs. I suggest reading "The Science of God" the source for this information:
In Genesis 1:21 we are told that on day five God created the basis for animal lofe. Among the categories of animals listed is one named, (in Hebrew) "taninim gedolim". Gedolim means big, and so we read "the big taninim." Pick up five different Englishtranslations of the Hebrew Bible and you're likey tofind feive different manings fo the word "taninim": whales, alligators, sea monsters, even dragons. Yet teneen, the singular of "taninim, is a word that appears elsewhere in the Bible and its meaning is known.
In Exodus 3, the Eternal spke to Moses from the burning bush and told him to return to Egypt to lead the enslaved Hebrew to freedom. Moses felt incapable of teh task and so the Eternal gave him several signs, one related to his shepherd's staff. When Moses was told to throw his staff on the ground "it became a nahash" (Ex 4:3). "Nahash" is the Hebrew word for snake. After Moses' return to Egypt, when Pharaoh asked for a sign, Moses' staff was again thrown to the ground and "became a 'taneen'" (Ex 7:10). Why didn't it become a "nahash", a snake? And just five verses later, the Eternal tells Moses: "Get to Pharaoh in the morning, behold he goes to the water, and stand by the river's edge and the staffwhich turned into a "nahash" take in your hand" (Ex 7:15)
It's the same staff. The change is first referred to as a "nahash, then as a "taneen, then as a "nahash. We know that "nahash means snake from its use elsewhere. Taneen must be a general category of animals since it appers in the creation chaper of Genesis where, other than Adam, only general categories of life are listed. So "taneen must be the general category within which "nahash -snake-falls. The general category for snakes is reptile. Thus Genesis 1:21 translates as: "And God created the big reptiles..." The biggest reptiles were the dinosaurs.
Hope that helps,
Josh

Bible calls them "beast" Men and Dinosaurs were on earth together. Very large ones died in the great flood. It does not take millions of years to petrify bones, or wood. Mt. St Helen proved it only takes a few years. Dinosaurs bone were not dug out and erected before 1840. Yet in South America the people made carvings of dinosaurs thousands of years earlier. How did they know what the dinosaurs looked like?

Welcome to my world. Unfortunately, the Bible doesn't literally explain all of the things that science tells us are historically accurate. So, you have two choices. You can reject science because it doesn't jive with what one old book says, or you can believe that the stories in the Old Testament are not historical fact, but parables like Jesus told in the New Testament. Or you could just give up on Christianity altogether, but you would probably have to question a few more things than dinosaurs to take it that far.

there were mention of large beasts , mamoths in the bible.
Not a large section on it, since it is the history of MAN on earth that the bible tells us about, not the animals.
Also science only beleives these animals looked and did they way they beleive, they are even fooled, it happened last year even, with people faking new dinosaurs. so honestly I am not sure you can trust all the teachings of dinosaurs since they are being fooled still.
But if you have to trust the bible or mans version of history, go with the bible every time

...Remember, these are educated guesses on the part of the scientists - nobody was around when these creatures were alive to witness them. They are trusting in their dating methods - they do not really know.
...Most dinosaurs were no bigger than an average dog.
...There are references in the Bible that appear to be dinosaur-like animals - like in Job.
...Also remember that evolution is a theory and has its problems.
...Check "Answers in Genesis" web site; also the Institute for Creation Research for help in these areas.

honey dont be confused or discouraged lots of things were not mentioned in the bible. the bible is not a history of the world book. it is a guide to better living giving insights from past lives of thase who lived with christ . or before and after he died. do you have any idea how big the bible would be if everything in the whole universe was mentioned? how are dinosaurs relative tio the life of christ???

You are looking at the periods of time through the eyes of the atheistic scientists who wrote these "laws". Just because dinosaurs are not mentioned in the bible, what does that mean to your faith. You have to decide if you want to believe the word of God, or listen to a group of people who have no evidence about their statements, but want to destroy God.
One God, and His name is Jesus.

You don't have to lose your religion over this. Just realize that the bible is a lot of parable and symbolism. Parable and symbolism can say just as much, though more poetically. I personally think people who take the bible literally are setting themselves up for disappointment and confusion.
