I don't know, but it's so true. My daughter changes at least 5 times. My hamper in never empty thanks to her.

Honestly, this question made me laugh. I thought my daughter was the only kid that did this umpteen times a day! She just liked to change her clothes to fit her moods I think. You know, discovering her individuality. Then she would put the clothes that she just had on for maybe an hour into the dirty clothes to be washed, for petey sake! Look on the bright side, your child is learning how to put outfits together and coordinate their own clothes/wardrobe. . .you know there has to be a bright side in there somewhere.
Thankfully, she outgrew that, although sometimes she changes a couple times a day - depending on what she is going to be doing - but at least now there is a REASON! She is 15 now and does pretty much all her own laundry these days.
Lordy, it drove me nuts sometimes, but if that was the worst thing she ever did - wha hoo!

Every single thing a child encounters is an experiement - how to walk and talk and interact with people. Getting dressed is an adventure, and if you didn't have to deal with laundry and time was no object, who wouldn't....over time it wears off a bit. As for the bathing, taking baths is a learned thing - over time they will get used to being clean and cleaning themselves.

Mine are 6&3 and unless they spill something all over themselves they wear one outfit a day. I wasn't aware this was a problem with kids.

If you have the time and the clothes, why not? I was dirt poor, I wore one set of clothes for a week. Then wash them and put them back on.
