Out of the research I've done on autism it is completely random, I am the mother of 4 kids, 1 has autism so believe me I've done my research. Nobody on either side of his father's family nor mine has autism other than our son.

They really don't know for sure. Mostly, I think it is completely random, but you can't rule out the possibility of a genetic mutation that hasn't been identifed yet. The offical answer is random. One thing's for sure : it's NOT caused by any vaccinations.

I wish I knew what causes it. My 3 yr. old son has autism. Some parents think ....that mercury causes autism.

I personally think it's environmental and genetic.
