It's a turn on for some and a turn off for others; it simply depends on the person whom you would be asking. I suspect that there are a lot of people who would say that it is a turn off even though it is the opposite for them primarily because it is still somewhat taboo in many societies, but that taboo has been weakening over the last couple of decades.
