theres this grl at my school that everybody makes fun of and she wears glasses and is real nerdy. but she has seizures to wear she'll just stare into space that's a sezuire for her. i think evryone else just thinks its a illness and nothing happens but everytime she has one she looses a few brain cells and there not replaceable. i was sondering if they knew that if they wouldnt be as mean to her. do u think if i tell them it'll make things worse or better? im in 6th grade

So, what's the big deal about wearing glasses? Appearing nerdy I thought wasn't so bad anymore since nerds usually make more money when they grow up.
Tell them, "Look at Bill Gates. He is richer and more successful than all of you put together!"
Bill Gates is cool. He is responsible for Microsoft.

Well you are a wonderful 6th grader and I commend you for trying so hard. My youngest daughter was in a car accident and as a result of it had to have brain surgery that left her completely bald. The reason I'm telling you this is that the school was very involved and let the students know that what happened to her was very serious and there was no laughing or teasing allowed. When she was teased, they threw eggs in her face, the children responsible were suspended from school immediately. I think you might talk to your parents about this and have them become involved with the teachers and administrators to change this behavior and make sure the children know they cannot treat others so disrespectfully. Believe me if the other students know that behavior isn't allowed and that there are consequences they will have to pay, they won't be so eager to tease her.

My son is in the 5th grade this year, and every year the kids at his school seem to get worse about making fun of the other kids and picking on people. It would be nice if you could be her friend. Everyone needs a friend to talk too. I'm sure she is a very nice girl.

You should be friends with her. Underneath her medical problems, she's probably a very nice girl. Nobody can help it they have a disability. It's sad that anyone would have problems like this, but unfortunatly they do. Your a very caring person and yes, I think your opinion sure would make a difference, even with the other kids. Sometimes there only has to be one in a crowd to make a difference. Your a good person with a good heart!

Hi I'm in 6th grade aswell.My name is Amy :).You sound like a caring dude and I think you should stand up and tell people that they are making things worse for her and tell them all to ease up on her because just because she is a little different doesn't mean she has to be treaten like dirt.Now I am very popular and pretty so I don't know what its like to be picked on but I assume that its bad..anyway hope ya take a stand for what you believe in and tell the girl not to worry bout the others. The most important thing you can do is treat he with respect. Just because she is sick and different doesn't mean her soul doesn't shine as bright as your friends or you or me. Be nice, be patient, be human, and when the other kids laugh let them know that nothing is smaller or worse than a person who picks on someone smaller or sicker.

Why don't you just befriend her just as if she was like all the other girls? Treat her just like your best friend. Then, if you have the chance, you can just casually let the other girls know - one at a time. The word will spread like wildfire and no one will notice that it was your plan all the time...

I might be 15 but dont tell them because its another reason to pick on her but it would be nice of you to walk up to her and say hi my name is (your name) and i would like to be your friend and you would be so nice!!
