No. Vermouth doesn't spoil so long as it's kept out of sunlight and the bottle is closed. Almost anything with over 15% alcohol content has an almost indefinite shelf life. Vermouth is a fortified wine with the addition of bitter herbs (which are in themselves preservatives).

I always buy the smaller bottles because I only use a cap-full in my martini, I also keep it in the Fridge because I like my martini very cold. Even if you buy the best vermouth on the market, it is relatively inexpensive so no need for a long shelf life. (want to know what is the best vermouth?)

You know, I have never had vermouth go bad... Unless it smells funny or something, I would go ahead and use it. But of course, that's me. Vermouth is cheap. If you really are obsessed about it, go and buy a new bottle.
But invite me for the martini!

Never had a bottle last long enough to worry about it, heheheh... If you're worried, just go buy a new one.
