Your god is like a kid with a magnifying glass, threatening to fry the ants who don't worship him. And you don't see the incongruity between a god who created a hell for unbelievers, and a god of infinite love and compassion.

You don't even see the pettiness in the concept of a god who is willing to burn ants for not worshipping him.

You claim we all have free choice, but how free is the choice when one leads to your heaven and the other leads to your hell? What sane person deliberately chooses a hell over a heaven? And you don't see the coercion in such a choice.

And to point these simple truths out means I'm either stupid, or in league with Satan. And you don't see how self-serving are these assumptions either.

You talk of loving the sinner but hating the sin, as if a human and his/her beliefs are two different things. We are what we believe, there can be no hating of "sin" without hating the "sinner" too. But you don't get that either.

I act from the Love within me...

...for those too blind to see their errors, and am condemned for it. You no longer recognize Love unless it is cloaked in christian semantics.

You've lost your way, and I try to guide you back. But like horses and a burning barn, you keep running back to the flames.

Our human capacity for Love is infinite. Jesus understood this, and it is a shame he chose to cloak it in the rhetoric of his day rather than speak more plainly.

You are lost in the technicalities that you cannot recognize Love. You only recognize the rules, not the spirit.

Thank You. You proved yourself ignorant again. I see this is a bad habit of yours.

God, did not create hell for people. He created it for satan and the fallen angels.

Wow....Your knowledge is overwhelming.

If God was burning off ppl for not worshipping Him then we all would be knocked off this earth at one point or another. No person is in constant worship, it would be great if we could but because we are human we lack the ability to be perfect and always abiding by God's will. All we can do is try, and that is all He asks from us. As far as hating the sin and loving the sinner, that is completely doable. I have many friends that have been involved with different idols, things they put before God, such as drugs and alcohol, I did not love them any less, I did however hate the sin that was keeping them down. And I guarantee that I sin on a daily basis but does that mean that my family stops loving me? Of Course not, becasue we are all sinners, but we are required to love one another, therefore we must focus our hate on the sin, but love the sinner.

One more sermon from an atheist. Spends too much time hating Christians, not seeing why there ARE Christians. What do you want, for me to say "You are a sinner and I hate your sin, and I hate you"? What does that accomplish? It doesn't matter how good you are, no one earns his way to Heaven, it is a gift through the grace of God for believing in Jesus, the Christ, Son of God.
I don't see any love within you, either, as you certainly don't show any. I hope I do. May the Holy Spirit speak to you softly, but with enough force to convince you of the eternal truth, before it is too late for you for "Now is the day of salvation".

there are some extremely basic Christian ideas here that you don't seem to get. for one, i don't know why you seem to think that people and their beliefs are one in the same - its a statement that seems as vague and subjective as the way you seem to think crystal clear statements, such, that i can love a sinner and hate their sin, are.

1st-belief is not the issue here, sin is the issue. i dont know where you're taking this issue of belief from when you hear the statement.

2nd-a sin and a sinner are 2 different things. linguistically one is a noun and the other a verb - there's a reason for this: they explain two different things: a kind of person and a kind of action. for instance, when i walk, i am not the act of walking, i am a person, walking.

3rd-if i, for instance, dont like the act of lying, i might say that no one should lie. if a person lies, i wont like the fact that they lie. i dont see why i would need to dislike the person simply because i don't like what they are doing; especially if that person will at one point decide to stop lying - which is what i would like them to do in the first place.

4th-if you're going to reject Christianity, at least try to understand what it means - after all, these aren't even the more complex issues of Christianity; whether or not you agree with it, it's not hard material to understand.

5th-no one is forcing you to be a Christian. you don't need to mock and belittle it. you just sound ignorant and confused by blindlingly obvious principles.

You are an unbeliever, so for you there is no heaven or hell, right? Then why do you care? This is the mystery in this forum for me, that you are not willing to let us have our beliefs, however far-fetched you find them.

You cannot say to us, "okay, so you believe and I don't." Instead, you have to try very hard to point out this or that, inconsistencies, that our God is petty, hateful or whatever.

Please, feel free to be an unbeliever. Why do you feel the need to rain on our parade, so-to-speak.

Can you see, that if we believe that unbelievers are going to hell, wouldn't we be trying to convert you out of love and concern for your eternity? Are we not, however misguided in your eyes, acting from the love within us?

You say we are what we believe, but that is one of those statements that really isn't quite true. I believe it will rain, later, I believe Geo. Bush is a good president and according to some, that makes me Satan. I believe man has the right to hunt, but I couldn't do it myself, and don't understand why someone would. All beliefs that make me who I am - including some that are very contrary to what people might expect if they knew me.

Beliefs are not tangible and are only a part of the makeup of man.

God could have made us all love Him, but He wants our love only if we choose to love Him. Many people know the consequences of not choosing Christ, and yet they still deny Him. Whether or not you like it, we do have free will. I think that many people believe that God won't send them to hell if they do good works. Good works aren't what get us into heaven. The consequences of sin is death. Christ paid the ultimate price for us so that we can be in heaven.

Since it's apparent that you have read questions and answers from Christians and find them wanting, I doubt that anyone could change your mind. Your heart is hardened. The truth will out when you come face to face with the Almighty on judgment day. My heart aches for you in your unbelief as it means I will never get to meet you. May God have mercy on your troubled soul.

OK, think about someone who chooses to smoke. How much evidence do we have that smoking causes all kinds of physical problems, even death? Or what about extremely unhealthy diets, or doing drugs, or drinking excessively, etc.? All of those have nasty, even fatal results, and yet I don't hear people complaining that they have no choice even though engaging in those activities leads to such awful consequences. Why is that?

They have the choice to avoid those things and be healthy, or to engage in them and experience the results. What sane person would choose to be unhealthy, or dead? And yet people do choose that all the time.

Perhaps your perspective is skewed. God created man and this place kinda like a garden to grow friends. He gave us the opportunity to choose good over evil (who wants an evil friend) and to choose to be His friend or not (who wants a robot for a friend). We make our own choices. He wants His friends to come live with Him at His place, lets just say it is called Heaven. This place would not be heaven if those who choose evil lived there cuz, well it would be like this is, and He does not want people who do not want to be His friend to be there. Those who opt out get left out. Who said Go created hell. I never read that. There are several different discriptions but that is what they are discriptions of a place, like outer darkness and lake of fire. Maybe those things will be pleasant to those who choose them, you know warm and no harsh light. They may just be the natural sate in the universe due to the laws of nature God created. We create cars, but they have hot spots to make then work right. Quit blaming God for hell.

if anyone can answer all the questions in this world about God, i dont suppose he belongs here. he should be up there with God.

all i know is that THERE IS A GOD AND ITS NOT ME. so i put my trust in Him who is my God.

i choose to be a catholic because i have freedom to do so. you choose not to believe because God gave you freedom.

God will never force you to love Him, rather He will provide you all the opportunity to love Him. in contrast no one is forcing us to commit sins but we do. and by sinning we choose hell over heaven. but unless you can name someone who is already in hell, i hope you stop judging the Lord's way.

you are not in league with satan so long as you are doing this because you need to search for the truth with a sincere heart and not because of some anger or mockery. only God knows our deepest desires.

if you act from the love within, you ought to know the difference between loving the sinner and hating the sin.

patience my friend and soon you will know everything. once we close our eyes to the world and die, we uncover all the truths and everything understood.

I never said anything about going to Christian Heaven. I am just going to Heaven. You seem to have made your bed now you may lie in it. It is your choice, according to God.

God gave you free-will believe what you want.
If I didn't believe in my State's penal code, and I drove how ever I wanted to, and got caught by the Police, Guess what.
I would still have to suffer the consequences, even if I refused to believe in the rules.
