Well the day is getting closer and closer and i still have yet to find a great idea for the Reunion cake. We all know how important this is. Any ideas ppl? I would greatly appreciate it!

If you wanted a "funny idea", here is one that a co-worker is making for her family reunion. Kind of gross sounding, but funny and not a bad tasting cake.
It is called a kitty litter cake. You actually buy a kitty litter box and a scoop. Also you put a trash liner in the box.
You bake a chocolate and a vanilla cake. After they are cooled, you break them both up into pieces and put them in the liner in the box. You take Oreo cookies - crumbled, and put green food coloring in so the kitty litter look is there. You sprinkle that on top of the crumbled chocolate and vanilla.
You can then take some tootsie rolls and melt them a few seconds in the microwave and stretch them out on top of the cake mixture. I personally think a Baby Ruth bar would make it more interesting.
Her family is in to jokes and it is pretty funny. She made one and brought it to work. It was cool and some people couldn't get over the "mind" thing of it.

When is your reunion? If you have time ask for pictures of your family members in jammies and then get them all together and see if you can have them air brushed or stenciled on your cake. Or you could just get different pictures of jammies and draw them on your cake. Also maybe you could make the cake look like a big bed with a comforter and pillows and put the names of your family members on the cake. Good Luck!

You can have photos digitally imprinted on cakes. How about an old photo which includes the matriarch and patriarch of the family?
In fact, you could have a series of cakes (depending on the size of the gathering), each one representing a branch of the family.

A family tree cake. Get a very large sheet cake and have it decorated with a tree and have branches and/or leaves w/ names on them.

put we are bringing the old school to the new school and creating generations....and have a decade cake with stuff from the 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's 00's.....i know it is crazy but i think it is orginial and you have to have a big cake right so make it beautiful

I say get a cake with your family crest on it. Just look it up on line and you will be able to find it.
