I don't know if it is still legal, but I suggest that you not use it.

It's a backhanded insult to all females if you think about it.

There MUST be other ways to get his attention and make him mind you than to teach him that it's humiliating to be dressed like a girl. If he learns to associate that humiliation with attention from the person he loves most in the world (you) he may be a confused cross-dresser as an adult.

I've never seen anyone do that to a girl as a humiliation, for example.

I have never heard of Petticoat Punishment, but it sure doesn't sound pleasant. I would use my own form of punishment. What ever feels right to you, except abuse, you should use. Alot of parents used forms of punishment that are considered child abuse by social services now.....be careful what you choose. I like "go to your rooms!" That is very effective for me. Good luck.

No clue what petticoat punishment is? If you have to ask if it is legal I would think it would not be something you would want to do to your children!

Not legal..not emotionally healthy for the child. In research I did for a forensic psych class, I read that many serial killers were subjected to that punishment and it led to a lot of gender confusion and anger towards women for the embarassment it inflicted. And if you question it, it seems you probably didn't like it when your Mom did it to your brothers either.

petticoat punishment is when you dress a boy as a girl and that has been illegal for MANY years, it was even probably against the law when your mother did it and WTF child services did not step in and take that poor kid away from her I do not know but what she did was wrong and she had no right to do that.

It is sad the sick people we have in this world who will do these sick things to innocent children.

You should be ashamed of yourself for even asking that..Maybe your dumbass should educate yourself. In todays world if you let your son walk out of the hosue in girls clothes here is some advice you midest well start saving for a damn funeral because someone is likely to kill him thinking he is a fag or beat the crap out of him very badly..Honestly WTF is wrong with you? That can cause your child a lot of mental dammage.

I really suggest you and your mother go get some damn therapy because neither of you are right in the head and maybe you should both stop calling yourselves mothers because your nothing of the sort, you are both sick and need damn help.

People saying it is okay when they have no idea WTF she is talking about STFU, you all are stupid, how are you going to tellsomeone something is okay when you have no clue what they are talking about???For all you know she could be talking about locking her kid in a room and starving him for a week and your sitting here saying it is okay, god so many stupid people in the world today

I have no idea what Petticoat Punishment is... but someone mentioned spanking so if by any chance that has to do with it then yes its still aloud and I support it. If someone loves their kid then they will want them to grow up responsibly. I dont think it should be done in public though, thats just degrading. Spank them then love them. Thats my thought.

I have searched on this and can not find anything about it. But i think if you have to ask f its legal then ou should not be using it. The only thing I found is it is from he medieval times. And well anything was legal then. If you can be more descriptive we might be able to help more.

If you want to psychologically scar your son for life. I would think it's illegal, but even if it's not, it's unethical. I've said many times there should be a competency test before some people are allowed to become parents.

So she used it on your brothers. How'd they turn out. She ever use it on you? If you want your son to grow up and hate you, sure go ahead and strip him and dress him like a woman. However, if you do this to your son, don't be one of those delusional fathers who one day goes on 60 minutes and asks, "why did my son become a serial killer. I...I..I don't know where I went wrong." This is where you go wrong.

Intentionally embarrassing a child (or anyone else for that matter) is unacceptable behavior on your part. Your children should always feel loved and comfortable with you and you will gain more if they respect/trust you which you can never earn through embarrassment.
