Now just imagine if all those people (not going into detail) that collect welfare and breed like rabbits, never work a day of their lives and get on disability when nothing is wrong with them that ARE Americans actually work for a living,

Btw nothing is tax free, there isn't anyone in the US that gets anything tax free. Go buy gas or groceries or pay your phone bill. We all pay one way or another.

Two obvious answers to this question I suppose. First, some Mexicans work on a cash only basis - no taxes, no benefits, no insurance and usually well below minimum wage. Injured on the job - too bad. We had several migrant workers caught in a fire up here last year - no insurance, no family, no money, horrible, horrible wounds. Do you think the average Mexican cash only worker takes home more than you do? Do you think he or she has benefits, vacation or sick days and coverage if disabled at work?

The second class of Mexicans that I am aware of purchase false IDs. That would be social security numbers of dead people or very young children. They work under those IDs and pay our taxes but accrue no retirement or disability coverage and get no tax refunds. Can you imagine working to support your family for several years, paying in taxes and knowing you will never collect SS retirement?

Immigration reform is long overdue but has long been stalled by big money donors and their politicians.

I really think that you should have asked why do some immigrants NOT illegal ones get to have a tax reprieve of 5 to 7 years when they come to this country. My answer is I would like to know too. When we turned 18 we didn't get away without paying taxes for years just because we were starting out so why should some one that chooses to come here not have the same laws to follow as any American born here.

If they are working tax free then they are not legal immigrants. Lots of immigrants come in to the country and get green cards, so they have a social security number and pay taxes.

P.S. Just for the record, there are a lot of U.S. citizens that work take free and it is illegal for a company to pay someone this way. A lot of small businesses are hurting so badly, they have no choice but to pay this way or fold.

How Much More Would an Amnesty or Guest Worker Program add to the Fiscal Burden?
All agree that illegal immigration is a fiscal burden. That burden is not because the workers do not have legal documents as much as it is that they are working in low wage jobs so that any taxes they pay are significantly exceeded by the cost of the public services that they use. The low wages that these workers earn may in part be due to the fact that they are not legally entitled to work in the United States and are being exploited by their employers, but the majority of these workers are using false documents to pass themselves off as legal workers rather than working in the underground economy.
And in my state of Arizona its Mexicans not other illegals
that are the problem Its more a matter of logistics than of race.We are next door to Mexico,so our illegals are Hispanic.

I don't understand why people keep saying they work tax free. My husband claims no dependants on his payroll so they take out alot of money each week for federal and state. Also Social Security he will probably never see. We have 5 kids together and if he was to file taxes each year the Government would be paying us money for all Federal Paid and part of state and also the Earned income credit for the kids. As you see, billions of dollars are unclaimed each year from the taxes because of people like my husband not being able to file. Thats whats paying to keep americans on welfare.

First of all that's not completely true. Some people do get paid under the table but theat's only a few really small number. Let me tell you why do you really think that they are going to get lots of money to sustain a family under the table? No they get hired by companies. Before I start going i want to tell something to alamahara what ever her name is you nedd to get your facts straight. Americans get screwed i really don't agree with you there because then what do you say of the people that pay taxes of a social security they work. The owner of that social security gets all that money that person pays in taxes. In other words what5 im trying to say is get your facts staright and don't be so butthurt about it. If you got a lousy job that doesn't pay well is your fault for not striving for a career so don't complain. They don't come here and work tax free in simple words . Some people just go by what other people here sya that are not even true. Think about it they are not really going to get paid a lot.

Because they either work under the table for less than the average worker might make (so while they aren't paying taxes, they're receiving what most minimum wage people do after taxes, thus equalizing their actual income) or they have fake IDs and work in a job where their pay is taxed with respect to Social Security, health insurance, state tax, income tax, etc just like any normal worker.

You have to understand they aren't making massive sums of money and not paying taxes on it, they're being paid scraps and still have to pay taxes such as sales tax, gasoline tax, etc.

Because people hire them. If they could not find jobs that easy they would not be here. They would be in their own country fighting for their rights.

Once here and they start working as migrant farm workers or maids for the rich. These people are not going to report them. They can pay them low wages no benefits and give them crappy living conditions.

And according to some of the reports I have seen these conditions are better than those in Mexico.

I was shocked to find out most rich bastards have their maids live in the laundry room. What kind of crap is that?

Good God, Man - if you could get free medical care, free food, pay no taxes, drive without insurance or a license, a new identity every time you skip bail and, if you do get caught, (very unlikely) you get a free ride home - wouldn't you wade across the Rio Grande, too?
