I dont know about sinful but it may certainly be inappropriate.
Most hymns in church are song in the key of Amn so a G string will sound out of tune.
I would go with the E string if I were you and pluck it only during the low notes of the hymn.

underwear is underwear, plain and simple. conduct yourself in a lady like manner. keep your legs together and your dress down. God loves you, not the underwear you wear. unless you go out and do things that a christian wouldn't do. Then you should be worried about your soul. This is a personal thing. Kinda like whether men should wear boxers or briefs. Know what I mean?

Personally I don't think God is concerned about what kind of underwear your wear, he's more concerned about what's in your heart. People, on the other hand, especially your pastor, may feel diferrently, but how can they know if they can't see it so what's the point in wearing it?
