Be true to yourself.

The Bible Job 15:14-16
"What is man, that he could be pure,
or one born of woman, that he could be righteous? If God places no trust in his holy ones, if even the heavens are not pure in his eyes, how much less man, who is vile and corrupt, who drinks up evil like water !

What did Jesus teach? What is the Great Commandment? What is the one word that stands out in the Greatest Commandment? Would that word be love? Are we not suppose to Love others? Put others before ourselves? Have true compassion for others? What is compassion? Concerned passion, Concerned love.

Do you see where this is leading? To be great in the eyes of God you must be least in the eyes of man.

Read the Gospel of John then decide for yourself, answer your own question by searching what is important in the eyes of God and forget what man tells you.

...1. Spend time with God in His word and in prayer daily, or as much as possible.
...2. Memorize and meditate on His word, to be successful in life (Joshua 1:8).
...3. Be filled with the Spirit, walking with God moment by moment, one day at a time.
...4. Discover what spiritual gift(s) and abilities God has given you, and use them to serve Him and others.
...5. Become part of a congregation where Christ is preached, the Bible is taught, and where you are free to use your spiritual gifts and abilities.
...6. Love God supremely, and then love your neighbor as yourself (as you already love yourself).
...7. Master your Bible (let it master you!).
...Blessings to you as you live for Him.

Love.

Put in love in the first moment when you wake up. Put love in your heart and in your lives.

Love the Lord your God and Love one another your neighbours as Christ loves.

The way that Christ loves is not easy. The way He did it was to lay down His life in sacrifice. He suffered, all because He loves...

And Jesus Christ is the best in God's eyes. Better still, are we not called to follow Christ? To love as Christ loves. To sacrifice as Christ sacrifices? The core and reason for Christ to do what He did was only motivated by Love.

Therefore, all I can say here is, if you want to be the best in God's eyes, all you need is ardent love for God and His creation (our neighbours).

Accept His Son as your savior. Can you imagine sacrificing your son so that all could live and then having people deny it.

As a parent, I cannot imagine that. Accept that His Son died for you and the rest will follow. Don't get caught up in trying to be the best--it will make you weary. Be yourself, accept Christ and everything will come in God's own time.

Are you trying to buy the Lord's affection?
The Lord loves you no matter who you are or what you are doing.
If you are stiving for perfectness in the Lord, you will not succeed - because we are all sinful. However if you repent and attempt to live your life according to his law (ie love the lord your god with all your strength, might, mind and love your neighbour as yourself) you will present a wonderful picture of Christ's love for your fellow man here on earth. That's all Jesus asks for.

No one can be the best, but if you obey God, read your Bible, and be totally sold out for Him. He will love you no matter what. Our best is as filthy rags. Jesus blood covered our sins. We must live for Him.

Study your Bible with and become one of His Witnesses, All that Jehovah your God asks of you is that you go on walking modestly with your God. John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

1:6 And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.
1:7 And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:
1:8 And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
1:9 But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
