this is so bulshit. these kind of questions really vex me because of the obvious disparity of it all.

You get a group of people saying there exists this place, heaven and hell. Heaven is for good people, hell is for bad people. Yet, what's good and bad is based upon the beleifs of people that existed in a time of predudice and blatant sexism, racsicm and any multitude of isms. I don't believe in heaven or hell, yet my christian mate told me to my face i Will be going there - i felt like punching him.

I believe in God and I have beliefs of what I hope being a good human is all about. I'm not gay, but I don't believe a gay guy who may have been a good decent human being, who helped all around him, fell in and out of love, enjoyed what it is to be human is condemed to a life of some sort of purgatory because some simple minded people believe that no matter the good things you do in your life, big or small, unless your christian/muslic etc, heterosexual, don't eat beef or pork etc you'll never be accepted by God. Here;s an thought. Take yourself, 200 years ago and you're born in Australia. Western man hasn't reached there yet, now are you condemmed to hell because you're not christian/islam - even though you don't know about it?

To me this is crazy, and i refuse to believe, totally, that the God i believe in, who gave us all this world, the diversity of people, the skins, the hair the eyes the scenery the animals, would ever disown me in any way shape or form for being anything other than a certain religion.

I would certainly think that if rapists, murderers and child molesters get into heaven then so can gay people. In my opinion it is no different than any other form of fornication or adultery. Honestly, how many Christians have never had premarital sex or an affair? Not many!

Being gay is NOT a sin. Any kind of sex outside of marriage IS considered to be a sin, whether it is homosexual or heterosexual. Even then Jesus forgives all sin if we turn away from it.

My church welcomes all people, regardless of age, ethnic origin, colour of skin, sexuality or class. We have members who were drug addicts, alcoholics, prisoners, homeless, middle class, company directors, professionals, Chavs and ASBO's. No-one is turned away. You will see this reflected in those that make up our church leadership.

1Co 6:9 Don’t you know that evil people will not receive God’s kingdom? Don’t be fooled. Those who commit sexual sins will not receive the kingdom. Neither will those who worship statues of gods or commit adultery. Neither will men who are prostitutes or who commit homosexual acts. 10 Neither will thieves or those who always want more and more. Neither will those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like that will not receive God’s kingdom. 11 Some of you used to do those things. But your sins were washed away. You were made holy. You were made right with God. All of that was done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Some of you used to do those things… Don't stop reading too soon. It IS a sin, but it CAN BE FORGIVEN. Contrary to pop psychology, no one was born that way and it is not permanent.

First off why would you watch something that doesn't honor God? I don't watch stuff that down grades anyone, or tries to hurt people. That shows disrespect to others. Yes if a person ask for forgiveness. They will go to heaven. God forgives all sins. He looks on the heart, not what is on the outside. Or what we have done in the past. If we ask Him in our heart, He cleanses all sin.

You don't get into Heaven by your works and deeds. You get into Heaven by your belief in Jesus Christ.
