I played in a winter golf league. If there was too much snow on the ground we would switch to tennis balls. Try playing a par 5 565yd. with a tennis ball.

I think they must de freezing their balls off, because there is no way you could get a decent swing happening if you were wearing a proper jacket. 9 holes, you're into golf. 18 holes, you're verging on crazy.
We played at -10C, there was snow. But, that's what they make those fluoro pink balls for!
