I think sonnet is beautiful.....IF she likes music. If she is more interested in sports I would not do that.

I'm not gonna read your long question, but I'll tell you this. Writing a sonnet at the begginng of a relationship only works in fairytales and romance novels. I don't care what any girl on here tells you, the truth is 33percent of the male traits that attract a girl to a guy is challenge. Challenge means you make the girl wonder all the time. Make her wonder what you've thinking, how you feel, what your next move is gonna be. The more she wonders, the stronger her feelings towards you get. I used to be mister sensitve, the guy who would pour his guts out to any girl that asked. What I got was the title of "Good Friend", I was just not good enough to date. By writing your sonnet, what you did was become anti-challenge. You have to do a complete 180 if you want to win this girl over. That's assuming you didn't turn her off beyond repair. Your job from now on is to make this girl laugh. You're the Jim Carey, Owen Wilson or Robbin Williams in her life. Do not touch her, give her compliments or gifts. Most girls are used to having guys groping and complimenting them and although they hate it, most of them would rather not make a scene. They would much prefer to touch you first. When she does, KEEP YOUR PAWS TO YOURSELF! It will drive her nuts to not know how you feel since you won't be all over her. Girls are also used to compliments which is why you won't give her any, aside from "you look very nice" and "Thank you for the fun time" For the first 60 days or 9 dates, she gets no gifts of any kind, which will also have her wondering how you feel (while simultaneously raising her interest level) What you need to do is ask this girl to go out with you. Take her mini-golfing, or bowling. NO MOVIES on the first date. You wanna be able to judge her interest by her body language. Does she stand close to you, try to hold your hand, and touch your arm when you say something funny. Write me if you need more details and go to www.doclove.com. Listen to the free archive radio shows and if you're 18 or over, order the dating dictionnary. Good luck!

Hey, it all depends on the girl. There are some girls that really want romanticism and would be very impressed by your sonnet. If she is not this type of girl, then I guess she won't really appreciate it and that means she isn't the girl for you. You deserve someone who will appreciate your romantic gestures. All the best finding your right girl.

A particular girl may not care for certain romantic gestures but she would still appreciate the time, effort and thought that went into it... I wouldn't say "irritate" unless she's the heartless type.

It depends on who she is. Sonnets are cute, but some girls think it's very....girly. Some girls may think that it's too cutesy and not manly.

Any girl worth your company would be flattered by a sonnet. If she isn't, perhaps she wasn't your type afterall.

short and simple. If I was a single stranger and you came up to hit on me and did something romantic, that would catch my attention faster then anything else. I would probably even say yes. thats my opinion.

Dude, I hate to say it, but she probably now thinks you are a nerd.
Next time just ask her out.
