Does anyone agree that America dragged us Britts in their war because they can't fight their own battles. Britain is the ultimate fighting country and we have to save those yanks AGAIN!

Are we whining again? I thought it was a joint effort to protect both countries. But, I guess what government should do is pull out of other countries and let's fight on or own Turf when they come. I will assume Britain would want help as much as any other country, including America. They all did when Hitler came on the Scene. I think they call it being Allies.

Hey Bud! I'm one of those "Yanks" you're talking about. And we did not drag you into the war. Bush did not threaten sanctions or some other plague on Britain. Britain came in of their own free will.
As for what I think of the war. I support President Bush and unitil I KNOW something else, I will support his decisions. I bleieve with all my heart that he is doing what he BELIVES to be right. Just because there are people who don't agree, there will always be someone who doens't agree with something.

But seriously, we dragged Britain into the war not because we couldn't fight it ourselves, but because we wanted the cachet of having some "international coalition" to give the war credibility, like we did in the first Gulf War.
Didn't happen, obviously. The coalition is one in name only, and nations are deserting it like rats off a sinking ship. Why Britain sticks with us, I don't know. Probably because it's better to appease us than Europe at this point.

hmm, i don't think so, the yanks kicked brit but in the revolution, and again in 1812, then saved your butts in WWl and WWll. Don't recall the Brits ever comming to the rescue of the good old USA. Not saying the Brits don't have fine military. but we can do fine without them, put are still gratiful for the help all the same.

Blair and Howard (Aust) did not get dragged in, they had their noses so far up Bush's butt that when they looked out from between his cheeks to get a breather they just sort of found themselves at the war.

ok dont get me wrong, i gat all the respect in the world for the british troops in iraq, but we didnt make u guys come u came on ur own free will. ur not really saving us ur helping us secure the southern part of iraq so we can focus on the sunni triangle. we could fight the war on our own it would just require more troops. if u want to save us, send more troops to bagdad.
