I really have a problem with someone doing this to a six year old.
But, if you must, there is a product line called Serious Skin Care that is sold on HSN (Home Shopping Network). They have a gentle cream hair removal that you apply and wipe off after ten minutes. I would strongly recommend it. Go to hsn.com, search for Serious Skin Care, click on Hair Removal and the Liquid Laser product line will display.

This is a myth. I shaved my arm hair in grade school 'cause boys teased me and it never came back any different than before. Now I wax it and it still comes back the same after all these years, so don't worry.

If you shave it, yes. Don't ever let her shave. Have her wax. Explain that it hurts a lot, but if she already has a hair problem so young, then she will need to wax for her whole life! If not, her body will be rough like a man's beard.

Shaving does make the hair grow back thicker. Waxing is the best solution.

As far as I know, its a myth that hair grows back thicker. I think it just looks that way when the hairs are shorter.
