No way.

The power that the Christian Church wielded from the early 1100s until the early 1300s (when the Knight's Templar were prominent) was due largely to the fact that no-one would dare question the authority of the Church. It would have been heresy.

Nowadays people are less afraid to ask questions and accept everything they are told.

My butt says "**** no". And if it was than you could expect some scared little king to come along, kidnap u all, and torture you until you admit to having commited homosexual acts. Than executing each and every one of you. Because that is just what happened to the knights templar.

No, especially in Europe. Most Europeans claim Christianity, but the attendance at church is very low. They must lack alternate options.

No, it's getting weaker with time and people realize the control issues that go along with being a Christian...dang I may have to marry my 95 year old neighbour - get my drift?

The current Pope is a bit of a dufus as compared to the last Pope - I think the last one was doing a fabulous job of bringing in the young people, this one is, well, not up to par.

Christians believe "God holds the power" (or so they say) - but yet these same "Christians" fight to have power. Having influence over the people is their power.

No, though I think they like to think they are just as powerful, politics have become far too involved in religion.

I don't believe so because in America we support all different types of religions and basing it on just one would make us an unequal country.
