So I don't have E. Coli now.. but I heard a symptom was bloody diarrhea. About 1 year ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and started vomiting violently and had bloody diarrhea. I could not stop doing either, and got so dehydrated that I collapsed and my bf took me to the ER. The doc there kept asking if I had Crohn's Disease.. and I said no about 100 times. Is it possible that I had E. Coli? Has anyone else had horrific food poisoning like that? Was my doctor just a moron?

Kazak, F*U*C*K you. Moron. How dare you say I whined at the doctor's office. I was dehydrated, collapsing, and had bloody water coming out my @ss. Furthermore, I am very hygenic and wash my hands thoroughly. I hope you die of food poisoning.

You most likely had some sort of food poisoning, either caused by E. coli, Salmonella, or Campylobacter (most common cause of food poisoning) or another type of bacteria. I suspect the reason that the doctor was so concerned about Crohn's disease is because they present similar symptoms and Crohn's is a chronic, more serious disease compared to food poisoning.

I once had what the doctors finally decided was food poisoning and had bloody diarrhea for 10 days along with the same violent vomiting for several days. It is possible that you had some type of food poisoning.

Crohn's disease and e-coli symtoms are similiar, sounds like you had either a terrific virus, food poisining. If you had Crohn's disease you probably would have had more since then. Also with that you have terrific stomach cramping.
