I completely agree with kslnet. Just look at online translators: you TYPE in English, for example, and the result is pretty poor. Now... guess all the noise you'd be incorporating if leaving a computer type for you instead.
Languages cannot be translated word by word. Many people here in Y!A don't get that simple point. Give them a tool that types for them and translates... and they'll think they can speak whatever language their software handles.

I've never heard of such a thing, but if it exists, it's likely to be highly inaccurate. There are two processes: transcribing spoken English to written English, and translating written English to a different language. Both of these tasks are difficult for computers, although the first one (speech recognition) is a little more successful. Still, you'd be best off getting a human to help you.

i dont know of any programs but try calling comp usa, it's a very large computer store. they probably know about it if it exsists
