Dogs don't know love. They respond to how you interact with them. My husband likes taking the dogs for rides in the jeep and swimming in the lake. When he says go get in the truck they are all over him. When he comes home from work they are very excited to see him. But I'm the one that feeds them, baths them, brushes them and cut their nails. I am the one that gives them their treats. Their always just one step away from me. But that doesn't mean they love me better. Dogs feel the emotion you put into them. Each one of us are different. We bring different emotions to them and they respond accordingly. Sure we love our dogs. And we all want to think our dog or dogs love us better. But we're living in a fantasy land if we think that way. But if it makes you feel better then go for it.

You know its funny, because when I first met my husband he had the most wonderful lab in the world! I started bonding with the dog better then my husband! When would go out on dates, during the day, I would suggest places like the beach, so we could take the dog!

Before long, the dog attached to me even stronger then to my husband, and became more obedient with me as well. Funny how that worked out. When my husband and I got married we had the dog at the reception! She had her own little cake made just for dogs.

Sounds corny, but she was a big part of our family. My mother even treated her like a grand child!

Good Luck and Take Care

My bullmastiff and lab seem to love me the best. They love my hubby and my kids, but they know who feeds them, takes them outside, gives them treats, gives back rubs and who lets them in the bed!!!
I have to say though, dogs are like kids. A child tends to tune out the parent they are frequently with when it comes to being told what to do but the one that they are not with 24/7, they listen on the first time. Dogs are that way as well. So I'd have to say, they listen to my hubby better than me.

My dog is a mama's dog but loves his daddy too. He will not eat unless I am in the kitchen. He listens to me better than his daddy. I can lay on the bed with a plate of food and he knows not to come near me...but with daddy he knows daddy is gonna give in.

All of our dogs love me better than my husband. They mind him better but that is because he frightens them.
