I want to change the brand of pill I have, but I don't know which ones are good and not to expensive. Could you tell me what brand you have, and if you experience any side effects like gaining weight? Also how much do you pay a month for them?

I use the generic of Triphasil called trivora. It's fine, the weight gain thing is up to you. It might make you feel hungrier due to the hormones; it's up to you to recognize the source of the hunger and don't give in to it, and you won't gain weight. At least that's what my ob told me years ago. There's always water weight gain near your period, anyways. I've had no trouble with it, been on it or something similar for 13 years now, except when trying to conceive our children.

This is something your prescribing doctor and yourself to discuss.
There is a few factors:
1) Insurance you have
2) Your body type.
3) Where you live: country
I have blue cross blue shield. Each brand I been on either has a $20 co pay or a $10 co pay every month if generic. I get the generic with Trinessa (generic for Orthro tri).

I would recommend NuvaRing. I have used MANY kinds of pills in the past and this is by far the best. It's not much more than the pill and has way less side effects. Plus, it's more reliable.
