Just wondered why does a round pizza always come in a square box?

It's Saturday and we ordered pizza and once again we all wondered why? We have such EXCITING lives! pathetic isn't it?

maybe pizza places where we eat pizza doesnt have any round box and its better to put it in a square box because imagine it being puttted in a triangular box or maybe the first one who invented pizza just like squares to be the pizzas container

I'll say the stacking and storing of the boxes like some of the others. Just think of sporting goods and basketballs, or any ball, they are all in square boxes to be stacked and displayed.

But for those who don't its all related to speed, transport and storage.
A round box is difficult to design so that it will lie flat, and yet can be made into the required shape in a short time.
Did you know that the packaging is a significant part of the cost!

round pizza comes in a square box so for one it has room and if it came in a circle box(some places have circle boxes) it doesn't have very much

I work in a pizza place. The boxes are square because 1> less damage to the pizza in transit. 2> People are silician pizza (which is square) 3> less of a pain to store and balance when you stack them on a shelf.

i have alway wonderd that and i think pizzas come in square boxes because they make the pizzas seem biger then they realy are because the boxes are biger.
