I have Windows 98 and badly need an upgrade to either Windows 98 Second Edition or higher. I have two copies of Second Edition but I haven't been able to find the sign-in code numbers and letters, if you know what I mean. I'm told there are sets of these figures that will fit most 98 Second Edition updates but I haven't been able to find someone who has such a set of figures. Any help out there?

I just don't know why you wouldn't want to upgrade to XP (Pro). As someone else said, it's just about impossible to use a copy unless it is brand new, but a new pc with a new OS would do you wonders, trust me. My very first computer had Win 98 and there was always something going wrong with it. A few years later I got a machine with Win2K Pro and never had any OS issues, and now I have XP Pro, and so far it's been smooth sailing. As far as a new computer, I recommend Dell. My first one lasted almost 8 years before I decided to get an XPS model. You can get a really nice basic pc for a really decent price.

What you need is the Key for windows 98. Unlike XP any valid key will work to activate 98SE. What you are asking is illegal and for me to post the key I have on this board would also be illegal. (pssst.....send me a private message)
