If we look at Maslow's hiearchy of needs we see that those may live in survival mode for their entire life.
And refuse to contribute. They live in the world of consumerism and materialism, it doesn't fit in with the abundance mentality.
Although things arent indefinately abundant, changes need to be constantly fluid and adaptable.
But here is the other side of the argument, those who have self-actualized and see the world as heaven, a place where one can create, a place where infinite knowledge can be explored, are these guys hinting to the others why to see the world in this light?
It may or may not be spiritual, according to the dream you posess, but it's a worthwhile concept to explore.
Is there a pyramid at all really?, Can it just be circles within circles?
