I am hoping great grades can help me- I dont want loans. My tuition is partly paid for by my employer but the rest is uncovered. I make too much for grants and my uncovered tuition adds up to about 8,000 dollars per year. I just started this semester, and was wondering, if I make a 3.8-4.0, will that help me? Also does age have anything do do with it? I am 25.

There are thousands of scholarships and grants available, and some are not dependent on grades. There are scholarships available based on a characteristic, a major, or even one based on interests. Yes, there are some based on age, but it would be listed in the scholarship description. The best thing is to examine the company's or organization's website before applying.

There are more than Pell Grants that are available. There are also grants to help for single parents, people in a particular field, and others. Having a high GPA will definitely help. Check your school for scholarships, and ask them about other STATE grants that you may be eligible for.
