It happens every single day all over the planet. Some stay for the security. Some stay together because of the children.
some are happy with the arrangement and doesn't care for a close relationship with anyone. Many elderly people are now living together for the costs. as well as companionship. especially in Florida.
Some marriages where there are really no close personal relations work well, most don't. Some people married have different life styles, and partners outside the marriage, but are close friends at home.

Yes theres many loveless marriages out there or those where the men pretend to love you and are having a relationship elsewhere. Men generally don't like to live alone, and who else would do the cooking and warm the bed for them until something better comes along.
People have all sorts of reasons to stay but more often than not these kind of relationships will eventually crumble.
Its certainly not the kind of relationship id want to stay in.

Neg gives the best answer here. Men, overall, don't care the least about love. Everyone here missed the truth. Men love someone to take care of them. This is not the same as a woman's "ideal" of love. Someone to cook, clean, wash the clothes, and do all the scut work. That is the only reason for any man to marry a second time. I have seen it over and over and over and over. And yet the fool women still fall in love with some "ideal" and get trapped. So sad. I do love my maid though.

He COULD. But would that really be fair to anyone? The man would be selfish for staying with her and possibly denying her a man who would REALLY care about her.

she is good in bed
too lazy to move on

Only if it is on a friends only relationship. If she loves you, and you do not love her, you will only make the both of your life's miserable. If it's for the sex, LUST only lasts for so long. You need LOVE to have a real relationship with someone. I would move on.

Yes, if he still feels attached (doesn't mean he has to love her)
OR
If previous attempts have lead to sorry, pittifull takebacks
OR
If the situation requires more apt timing
HOWEVER
All in all, he will leave.. eventually!

sure he can if he wants to remain unhappy. I think it is extremely unfair to live a lie like this tho if you don't love her allow her to find someone who does
