You don't have to work to receive salvation, only accept Jesus into your heart - accepting Him as your Lord and Savior.
Living your life for the Lord may be work, but so are most things that are worth achieving. Being a parent is hard work, but most of us don't just say well it's too hard to keep up with. Things that are important to us, we will strive to achieve. The truth is, if you truly love the Lord, your desires will adjust accordingly. You will have the desire to honor Him in all that you do - This is a gift and opportunity we are offered...we should feel blessed to have it instead of feeling overwhelmed in having to do it.

Our Creator doesn't expect perfection. Man is the one who
constantly demands pefection from us. Because he himself
cannot be perfect.
It's a mind game. A smoke screen. All the self-righteous finger pointing, making a big deal out of other peoples faults, is just a head trip. People trying to take the attention OFF of their own faults.
But thats the devils logic. Because the more they talk about others. The more they GET the attention on themselves.

You don't have to work to maintain salvation..The Christian upon repenting, asking forgiveness, and receiving salvation is done only THROUGH Christ..We do good works because we are grateful..We do not do good works to become a Christian..

I can walk into a garage , I will not becoem a car...Just has walking into a Church will not make me a Christian...ONLY Christ can make one a Christian

The work isn't to maintain salvation. The work is because of God's transformation of your life once you give it back to him.

No one has to work hard to maintain it. You will want to do things for the Lord if you are saved. The thief on the cross didn't work for it. Why do you think anyone else would?

You DON'T!

THAT'S THE WONDERFUL PART!

Romans 8: 38 and 39 now tells us IT IS FOR EVER! Salvation can not be lost, stolen, or taken away by anything or anybody! IT IS FOREVER!

Who says it's hard?If you truly are saved, you can never lose it.You've been washed thru the Word of God.Jesus said "All that the father gives me I will in no wise cast them out.No one can take them from me."
And since you've been bathed from your sin.Everytime you get dirty, you need to wash up(pray for forgiveness, but you better mean it)I John says "He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins(when we sin and ask for forgiveness)".All you have to do (and mean it ) is ask Jesus to come into your life, forgive you of your sins, and the Holy Spirit will seal you (put a stamp on you )You don't work FOR it .Sometimes you work BECAUSE of it.You appreciate His grace and want to do something to show it,that's all.
