A generic birthday card is a good idea. No mushy stuff (unless you want her boyfriend all over you!) If there's a party or a get-together to celebrate her birthday, then a CD, DVD, or even a candle would be perfectly acceptable. Just wrapped darlin' - no suggestive words, or notes.
Hang around, on the sidelines, then if her boyfriend splits, you'll be there... or better yet, go find another girl, there's more females than males in this world!! Good luck!

I believe that since you two are currently not "friends" that getting her a gift is not the best idea right now. I would wait as you will only cause trouble between the three of you if you proceed with a gift at this time. You might try a card or something along the lines of that simple.

Yes, give her a gift.
Simple ideas...a beautiful but inexpensive scarf. A journal. An ornate wood frame. Something that shows you took some time picking it out. Try to spend between $10-$30 dollars.
For whatever it is worth...one of my favorite gifts ever from my husband was a pound of my favorite coffee. If she likes coffee, tea or wine you could buy her her favorite brand and that really will make an impression.

If you have only known her for a month and you know that she has a boyfriend, how 'bout just giving her a call on her birthday and wish her a good one. I think it may be to soon for gifts. And maybe with any luck her boyfriend will forget her birthday. Good Luck.

I don't think it's appropriate for you to give her a gift if she already has a b/f. If anything, just give her a card. Cards are usually harmless, but still I would object to giving her anything. A simple verbal "Happy birthday" would be considerable in this situation. If she's already involved, then I would suggest you move on.

If you like this girl, then you've had to have taken the time to know certain things she likes. You didn't mention your age, so it may not be a good answer without knowing. But I'd say, make it simple, make the gift something you know she likes, ( like butterflies or stuff like that). This small gesture will show her that you "pay attention"

Look if you are friends...get her something small. A card and gift certificate are definately the best choices. Flowers, candy and stuffed animals may get you in trouble.
Just be thoughtful...pick a gift certificate you know she can use.
and when you pick out a card, go for funny instead of romantic. that way, she will notice you...and will appreciate it that you didn't make a huge fuss over her!

well, if shes popular, u better not give her a gift, or at least not yet, cause she can get the rong idea.
if shes sort of popular, give her something that is not too expensive but not from a dollar store either. give her a birthday card too and sign your name, so she knows who to come to if things dont go right with her bf.

Give her a gift card to her favorite store, or whatever in thing you teenagers are doing now.
Respecting the current bf is a plus, but be careful....
