we should never let our children perceive this as a negative attitude toward education. Do you agree? And could this hinder the child's education in any way?

yes i agree. there is a lot wrong with public schools. but there is also a lot wrong with society. way i figure it is i let the schools do what they can and i fill in the gaps. having a negative attitude sets the stage for failure , in school and in life.

No i don't think that our children should perceive this as a negative attitude. Kids are going to find something wrong with school any way and parents should stop complaining and actually try to do something about it. No this can not hinder the child's education because it's still alot of kids who did great in public schools....but in my opinion i think that parents,students and teachers need to have more of a connection.

As long as they do not encounter teachers who do their homework for them. Grade inflation destroys a child's fragile self confidence.
Children need to enjoy their days in school and leave with positive memories - like I did.
Politicians use education as a game due to the amounts of money involved. Children are not pawns of a game and the supervisors need to understand that point.

Our education system is great, one of the best in the world in fact. Other countries envy the progress our universities accomplish. The problem is at home. Parents need to stop giving in to their lazyness or greed or whatever it is thats keeping them from educating their kids. How much time do kids spend in school each day? How much time do they spend at home? School didn't make me learn, they explained things to me and gave me assignments, and then my parents made me do them.
