I just barbequed chicken and pork country ribs on the barby. Chicken was done perfectly, and pork was done fine also. But..... One rib must have been on a cooler part of the gas grill( of course it looked well blacked on the outside) because i bit into it and bit again and strarted chewing and looked at the rib more closely and noticed it wass pink and a little bloody, I spat it out into the trash and rinsed my mouth out in the sink, thenn went in the bathroom and mouth washed. I did not swallow the meat but I think I may have swollowed the bloody juices abit. i'am being completely honest. will I be okay since I spit the peice's out? it's been about 20 minutes now. Honest replies please.

You are fine.

Any bacteria contamination was on the outside of the rib and was most likely destroyed on the barbeque.

Problems usually occur with ground meat. The surface contamination is then mixed throughout where heat will not destroy the bacteria if under cooked.

As long as you weren't eating spinach salad on the side, I think you'll be okay. ;)
In all seriousness, as long as the majority of it was cooked, you should be fine. As someone else posted, e.coli is usually most common is ground meats, not whole on bone. I don't think the bit of juice that you swallowed would be enough to make you ill. Relax, you'll be a-ok.

when you cook ribs well some can be pink and still just be fine bloody on the other hand isn't, cook it just on low or med. heat to make it cook the inside of the meat and the maybe it willn't be so burnt.

most meat is served med rare to keep the flavor of the beef. The only things to not serve pink are pork and chicken. Ribs, steaks, burgers, lamb, all of these are fantastic bloody and red and we tend to serve them with apricot glazes that really bring out the flavor. You can't freak out, by cooking it you killed all bacteria.... b/c you DID NOT undercook it.
Lance Armstrong likes it and hell... he's my boss.

You will be fine. I once saw on TV a documentary on this guy who ate raw roadkill and claimed that he was healthier than ever. Yikes!

You'll be just fine. People eat undercooked bacon every day. And you didn't even digest it.

you should be fine, there is a slight chance the meat was contaminated with e. coli, but that chance is slim. Don't worry so much. You did the best thing you could by spitting the meat and as much blood as possible out.

By today's standards with meat production pork can be eaten without being completely cooked. There are always chances with any foodborne illness but it is really more rare than you think. I wouldn't worry about it.
