I'm not sure I completely understand your question but here goes:
Well history books are almost 100% accurate because they only date back about a 1000 years and many people were involved in it.
Whereas the bible is a book of mythology about how and why things happened that has been changed hundreds of times.

Lincoln is in the history books not only American history but historians around the world agree with our history that he existed, the stories on the bible are only in the bible nowhere else so it is hard to believe, and if on top of that you have those incredible stories... you have to be a real believer. Opening the waters of the red sea???? 8 plagues of Egypt??? the Mana from the heavens???, Samson and Delilah???.. Adam and Eve ??? give me a break!!!

Because:
-there is enough historical (i.e.: scientific) proof that he did. Serious history books follow strictly scientific procedures to come to their conclusions. I know there also are some of the other books, that have no scientific value. But in general, they do. And those which don't deserve no more respect than the Bible.
-nobody is trying to manipulate humanity in the name of Lincoln.
-nobody is asking me to worship Lincoln.
-nobody is trying to push values, habits, even laws!, in the name of Lincoln's unproven teachings.
-there isn't a hugely powerful organisation to profit from the gullibility of people about Lincoln's alleged special power.

Abe was within recent history. Push the history back about

We have real evidence that Abe Lincoln existed. Like photographs. And a grave we could dig up if we wanted to. What do we have to prove that Jesus existed? One ancient book.
