It don't hurt. The tongue is one of the LEAST painful piercings.
Most people don't have any bleeding at all from getting their tongue pierced. Most people think the clamp hurts the most out of the whole process. It feels like someone is pinching you or even less painful then that.

I have had mine done and it didn't hurt at all... My tongue didn't even swell up. If you decide to have it done be sure to take some Motrin with you and take it right before you get it pierced. This will help reduce the swelling. I also found that sucking on ice after wards numbs any feeling or irritation you might have.

The clamp was the worst. If you have pain after that (and you aren't allergic) take some ibuprofen. It doesn't have any effect on my speech, and most people don't even know I have it. But don't play with it. I know a lot of people who run them along their teeth and make that clicking noise with them. My dentist says that wears down the teeth.

it hurts after you do it, it won't hurt at first because of the sedatives that they put on it, and the worst thing of all is that it can get closed again or get an infection if you don't take good care of it. Imagine that; after passing through all that pain it get closed and you loose all they money you paid too.

i had mine done and it didn't hurt at all. i had a little pain when i tried to eat a taco the next day but i guess thats why they tell you not to eat solid foods!

it does not hurt at all...i felt more pain when i got my ear pierced(the cartilage)
