I'm not too fond of slick haired Terriers and the Spaniel is not one that i've heard of ,but i had a cocker spaniel and she died but it was the best dog i have ever had it just shed but its was my fault i did not know how to trim her soo do some research and get a smart dog .... personally i have a golden retriver about 1 yr old too big for an apartment but can be acomonadated----- Always get a smart breed, and one that like people and you wont go wrong even if its mixed,i like labs, golden retrivers, cocker spaniels, pooddles are some of my favorites and for heaven's sake stay away from dogs used in the police and guard capicity and pit bulls are a nooooooooo usless you sell drugs---or you are in the security business and carry a lotttttt of liability insurance !!!

The words terrier and apartment should never be used in the same sentance! Terriers are balls of energy and require tonnes of exersize. The spainel would be a good apartmant dog! Pugs are great apartment dogs too and so are most of the toy breeds, as long as they are not barkers.

Of those four, definitely the Cavalier King Charles.
A terrier is too much of a 'working dog busybody' for apartment living.

Terriers are all too active - a spaniel would be much better. People say that Dachshunds make good apartment dogs - I have one, but I have a house and she only barks when the other dog is bothering her.

I would recommend a sheltie they are very intelligent and will adjust to your activity level. They do require maintenance for their coat but are very loving and enjoy being around people

A poodle maybe. Or a pekingese. But you should check the apartment's rules.

Go there, it tells you. But, all of them will do OK in an apartment as long as they are sufficiently exercised.
