Hi. I have a 4 month old and he loves his swing. I was curious if I should purchase another one or break him of the swinging habit. He is really really close to being too big. Like I want to know for this paycheck if I should or not. Oh this is how he falls asleep for his naps during the day. Please help. Thank you.

He doesnt like his bouncyseat except when I am cooking ( I have to be in view at all times)I use it only for naps. he goes in it for naps only.... w2ell when nothing else will do too. His schedule is change diaper, feed, tummy time, then sit up time with mommy (sometimes) maybe another feeding, then nap time. Well tummy time is back time too. He can roll from back to tummy and tummy to back. I just worry about spending almost 100 dollars for something he may not need.

My son practically lived in his swing until about 10 months when he started to walk. He would scream if I took him out, i sometimes even had to feed him in it. So my advice...if he is getting too big for it but loves it as much as mine did, invest in a bigger one, it will please the both of you.

as one other poster said they do not make swings in multiple sizes... you could try 1 of 2 things... let them use a rocking recliner or something of that nature when they DO outgrow the old swing OR get one of those hammocks that have their own stand and so can be used inside. then gently swing him in the hammock. Only problem with either of those is that theres no safety belt to hold them in, so if he moves much I would recommend finding another method besides swinging. (Perhaps you rocking him until he falls asleep and then laying him down.)

My son loved his too. Just be sure he is getting enough tummy time. My little guy started getting a flat spot on his head from his swing.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with letting him swing, otherwise you would be taking him for a car ride to put him to sleep. But as he gets older you can slowly wean him from it. When my kids were young they enjoyed it emensely for months!

Just buy him a new swing set, or just take him to the park.

For starters, they don't make swings any bigger, only the one size. They find other ways to go to sleep, believe me. My 15 month old was the same way when she was small. Now, she likes to sit in my rocker/recliner to go to sleep.

My Granddaughter is out growing her swing too. She loves it so much that my daughter is considering buying a bigger one. It's so comforting for them. Good Luck to you ~~

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just get him a bigger swing - or you might try a vibrating rocker/bouncy chair. My kids loved those, too.
