That's a good question . I think it's somewhere along the lines of probably about 6 months to a year. If see the dog at least once a week they wouldn't forget , if you are not then yeah unfortunately they do or will sad to say but they do. I have pets in the past and after not seeing them for a long period of time she forget who i was, when i gave away as a puppy then went back to visit months later she had no clue that i was once her owner / master.

You are SELLING her. Why. If you cannot look after her any more could you not GIVE her to someone who will love her forever.

I hope the poor thing has the memory span of a goldfish and she forgets you straight away. Why did you get a dog in the first place.

She'll not forget you, but if her new home is a good one, she'll learn to love her new owners.

Why are you selling her? What checks are you doing to make sure that the home she's going to is suitable?

Get advice from a dog charity (eg. dogs trust, rspca) about homechecking etc before you get rid of her.

I can't let this go though without saying there looks to be a contradiction in your question. You're selling her, not giving her away, so the amount of money you get for her is important to you. In which case, what do you care whether she remembers you or not?

It seems you're only interested in the money, and you want somebody to assuage your guilt.

Prove me wrong and rehome her compassionately.

A dogs memory span is two years, by that time she will have completely forgotten you. Its kinder if you don't visit her in her new home, but tougher on you. Ask her new owners to drop you a line every so often and send a photo.

A dog never forgets a betrayal, I would invest in a new security system, those labs get mean.

she will probably fret terribly for you for a few months then eventually if she is in a loving home she will forget you, i have got a 6 year old black lab i could never sell her no matter what, she is part of our family, you do not give your reasons for selling her, if it is financial reasons , is there not anything else you could sell instead of her?

According to Cesar(the Dog Whisperer) because they live very much in the PRESENT they do move on pretty quickly. If your dog goes to a good home that treats it well, it should be very happy.
Though I think way back in her mind she/he will always remember you.
You should remember now when you get to heaven you won't be his/her person.
