I presume you are early in your scientific career?
Neuroscience is a massively varied subject and people do all sorts of things from molecular biology to brain scanning. There are jobs in many universities as an academic scientist, but it is like a pyramid. Tough to get a PhD, tougher to get a job as a postdoctoral scientist, MUCH MUCH tougher to get a lectureship / tenure or progress to a professorship.
Outside academia there are jobs in the pharmaceutical industry etc. Many people I know with neuroscience PhDs also work in non-science but related fields such as science policy, science administration etc. It's basically the same kind of career options as training in any bioscientific discipline.

I suggest the neuroscientist who looks for career advice and employment opportunities on Yahoo Answers would be most suitably employed in McDonalds. (Any fries or drinks with your answer?)

You need to write Flash Gordon, and ask whether or not he will come after you if you decide to work in the Evil Emperor's palace. He always does, and what is it about you guys and the innocent princesses in chains routine anyhow

If so, why would you go through all that training and not find out first?
