i have ginger hair & i was wondering if i should put a blonde layer on top? would it look right?

i think you should stick with what you have, i think red hair on girls looks pretty, and dying it will only look like you are ashamed to be ginger which will make people think thats its ok to tell you you should be

My daughter did a modeling thing, they colored her hair a nice copper color underneath and a great carmel blond on top, it look fantastic!

Put platinum blonde chunky streaks - it will look cool with the two colors!

I think you should keep your natural hair color....it makes me sad seeing all these girls trying to change what doesn't need it. Ginger hair color is absolutely beautiful and unique...keep it!
