A girl I've been flirting with for weeks, I asked her out and she told me that she was kind of seeing someone, but repeatedly stated she didn't know where it was going, then she grinned and said she wanted to hang out, as friends, and that she would definitely want to hang out with me sometime. She also told me where she lived and liked how I wasn't far from her.

That said, is that sincerity or is she officially off the market? And if she wants to be friends, was I supposed to ask for her number then and there or is better I remind her later on. I work with her

She's not officially off the market because when you asked her out, she said she was SORT of seeing someone. Sounds like she has one foot in a relationship, and the other foot out. I think she met someone new, but doesn't know if she wants a relationship with that person yet. So she's still looking for options. There is no rule that says you're suppose to ask for her number. I like the fact that you waited because it sounds like she's already having a hard time with the other person she's supposedly seeing. There is no rush, but the next time you see her go ahead and ask for her number. I think she's interested in you, so ask for her number, call her and get to know her better. Also see if you can find out more information about what's going on with the other person she's seeing. That could also help you determine if she's really available or not.

Humm. Well, I look at this a couple of ways. Given that she was completely sincere in everything she said, she is not in a serious relationship, and wants to keep her dating options open. Nothing wrong with that when people are honest up front! She was basically letting you know that someone else is in the picture, but also telling you, "Hey, it's not serious, so go ahead...I'm giving you permission to ask me out."

If you take a more cautious approach, she might be in a relationship that is on the decline ("dont' know where it's going" language), or waiting to see how things pan out with this guy and wanting to keep you in her back pocket. I guess you'd really have a hang out a bit to know if your back pocket, or real potential dating material.

For us women, we usually (usually!!, and unlike men) say what we mean, so I'd bank on my first scenario. Good luck.

Depending upon your ages, try asking her for coffee or to a movie, while you're at work. If she agrees, exchange phone numbers, so you can confirm the day of your "date." Approach it as being friends, especially if you wouldn't mind having her as a friend. See how it goes, pay attention to your conversations, and - if it went well - wait a week or two and ask her out again. See how it develops from there.

Good luck!

She only wants to be your friend man. Sice she said no to you then she only wants to hang out with you because she doesnt want to hurt your feelings. I have been in your position before man. Start dating someone else trust me.

Forget her. She is not a very loyal person. She needs to either break up with the other guy or be loyal to him. Run, run, run and be happy you found out now.
