I bought 80% lean, used bread crumbs, onions, steak sauce, ketchup (because the meat was way to dry when I went to make the patties) and a pinch of keriaki sauce.

what are you favorite burger toppings?

Wow, I can see your problem.
here are some alternatives to whatever it was you made...

hamburger (95% lean is best)
worcestershire sauce
onion powder (real onions will make patties fall apart)

or

mix finely chopped bacon with the hamburger
thats it...don't use anything else

as some one else had suggested beat an egg than and a few bread crumbs not many fresh or dry shape your burgers then let them rest for 30 mins (if possible) in the fridge also make sure they are not to fat as the out side will shrink before the middle is cooked and hey presto a crumbled burger . a slower cooking heat than the pre packed burgers is a help as well

Patties should be well rounded, no splits on sides before going on the grill.

Favorite toppings are...cheese, lettuce, thin-sliced tomato, sweet onion slice, barbecue sauce or ketchup.

I use a gadget I got at (Walmart I think) It has a long handle with a four sectioned wire basket that folds closed. I flip and shift them in the wire basket holder. They will not fall apart at all. Probably in camping supplies. I spray it with Pam.

You can mix in all you want if you dont' let it completely sear on one side and start turning brown up the sides they will always fall apart.

To keep your hambugers from falling apart on the grill you put wipping cream on them!
