If this was your personal experience that you are talking about then I expect you are trying to make a generalization out of a specific event. Without knowing more details about the event, it is impossible to say whether your being fired was justifiable or not.
If you harassed others with your beliefs and disrupted the work environment, then you deserved to be fired. This would be true no matter what particular belief you were espousing.

Why would you even bring that up in your job? It's your business, and unless you announce it, it doesn't need to be an issue. The only time I could see someone firing you from a job for being pro-life is if you bothered other employees about it, tried to hand out pamphlets, and in general did not shut up about it. If you do that, you deserve to be fired, because that disrupts the workplace.

Yeah, right. Where are all these pro-choice/pro-homosexual companies and how do I get hired by one? Can you send me a list? Why are you talking about this subject at work anyway? Does it have something to do with you job? I'm guessing you are the type of co-worker who never shuts up about how oppressed you are because you can't shoot homosexuals on sight and blow up clinics that offer reproductive services. Do I work with you?

I'm pretty sure that the whole "hating homosexuals" thing is against an employee discrimination policy. The pro-life and all can't get you fired, unless you're making other employees feel uncomfortable if you are preaching to them.

Wow.... you realize that employers can't ask you those questions, right? If they are, then you have a lawsuit waiting to happen. However, if you are offering this information in the hopes of converting them to your way of thinking.... that is NOT a work related issue. You can't be fired for it, but if you are constantly telling people how prolife and antigay you are... you're gonna get fired for harassment, you're not allowed to do that sunshine...

Well, never heard of a pro-lifer getting fired. If you are openly hateful towards homosexuals, who may become employees or customers, then you deserve to be fired.

a good friend of mine was fired from my last job by a psychotic ultra-conservative christian, the reason she was fired:
rumors that she had dabbled with tarot cards and practiced white magic.
this drove me absolutely crazy.
look at both sides of the glass, don't just throw your stones.

...I've never heard of ANYONE being fired for taking the pro-life stance...... and if you're openly discriminatory towards your gay coworkers, you deserve to get fired. It's not a "tolerance" thing, it's a "disruption of the work environment" thing.

I am very pro-life, don't get on your high horse with me. From what I have seen from your type it is idolatry that makes you crazy. Jesus is Alive, Mary, however is still dead. idolatry. No way Islamics have killed more than your murderous cult.
