Spirituality is about a relationship with God, Love, obeying His commandments, trusting His word, leaning to Him with understanding. We must read His word to learn what He expects from us.

HI Badferret

Do you really know any Christians??????

Here is one thing that Jesus said.

Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

The words spirtual or spirtuality are not in the Bible. The word spirit comes from the Greek word pneuma which means air, wind, spirit, and breath. It is where we get the word pneumatic.
What is spirtuality????? Is it a new kind of religion? A true Christian is Christ like. God said to keep the Sabbath day Holy. Most people keep Sunday. Here is what the Catholics say about that......

Catholic Press, Aug. 25, 1900
"Sunday is a Catholic institution, and... can be defended only on Catholic principles.... From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first."

"It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church."--Priest Brady, in an address at Elizabeth, N.J. on March 17, 1903, reported in the Elizabeth, N.J. News of March 18, 1903.

Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extension Society (1975), Chicago, Illinois.
"Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw your attention to the facts:
"1) That Protestants, who accept the Bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means go back to the observance of the Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them in the eyes of every thinking man.
"2) We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith. Besides the Bible, we have the living Church, the authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages and a thousand other laws.
"It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible."

Stultifies:
Prove to be of unsound mind or demonstrate someone's incompetence.
To make someone or something appear absurd, foolish, contradictory, etc.
To cause something to be useless, worthless, futile, etc.

By the way: There is no ever burnning hell..... Jesus was born in the month of October..... He was in the tomb three nights and three days . Not two nights and one day as you have been told. Do you really know any christians???????

Do explain to me what spirtuality is.. Please use scriptures.......

In any group, there are those who live what they teach and those who only speak it. Unfortunately Christians are not only a high-profile group right now but the ones who claim to 'speak' for them (right-wingers, Catholic hierarchy, Focus on the Family, etc.) tend to be those who do not live what they preach: love, tolerance, forgiveness, service. IMHO anyone can be 'spiritual,' it takes a very closed mind to be 'religious.' Don't preach to me about the 10 Commandments, how homosexuality is an "abomination" and other Old Testament teachings (which also state that you can own and punish slaves, women are property and not allowed to teach, etc.)! SHOW me with your actions the New Testament that you claim has saved you! Otherwise you are a clanging cymbal or a banging drum - sound familiar? Even JC said you are making a lot of noise that doesn't make an sense or difference to anyone.

More Christian bashing, and why bother? If you're so sure they're all wrong anyway, what difference does it make to you?
Here's a clue. Real spirituality is the recognition that there is more to humans than merely mind and body, and the attempt to find and embrace the Creator of that spirit. That's a simplified explanation, but a good one.
Everybody has a different idea of who that Creator is, and nobody is inclined to listen to the other guy's explanation, but here's a thing. If you listened with an open and critical--I mean thoughtful, not disbelieving--mind, you might be able to find what you're obviously looking for.
Let me give you a trifle of advice, if you decide to set out upon this quest. Judge everything by its fruits--I know it's a Biblical reference, but it's also wisdom. What one is, one demonstrates by what one does. So, a spiritual answer that is inimical to one's health and happiness, is by it's fruit, demonstrated to be a false religion.

I will say that there are some Christians out there who are anything but spiritual and give the rest of us a bad name with there rules and legalism and beating you over the head with their Bible's. But in their defense and mine, it is done out of love (in most cases---- though some do just want to judge, I have been there and done that and got the T-shirt, I am one and some still judge me!-- But that's NOT HOW GOD IS!), because we would not and God would not want you to perish. To deny Christ is an automatic acceptance of your ticket to hell, even if you don't believe it exists. There is no in between. You either believe God or you don't. There is only two sides, His or Satans. To choose not to believe Him, automatically puts you on the other side whether you believe it or want to be there or not. But back to the question at hand...........Spiritual to each individual is different according to your own spirit. How can one say one is spiritual and another one isn't. That isn't really our call. I don't get my spirit from a book. I am a spirit, I have a soul and I live in a body. The book, I assume you mean the Bible, is a tool to help me in this life. It helps me to know God, to make decisions, to live and walk according to the way of The HOLY SPIRIT, to keep me sane in an insane world, to help me see the big picture, that it's not all about me, to remember what I am here for--- people who don't believe to pray for them and help them that they may see the light.

Martial arts says it doesn't have anything to do with the style. It's the artist himself, that determines if he is any good or not.
The same is true of religion. It does't matter what faith he porfesses. It's the individual that determines whether he or
she is truly spiritual.
