Changing his food around causes gas. Pick one and stick to it. Oh, and by the way, all those you are feeding are all but poison. Purina, Iams, and Science Diet are all but poison. Read "Foods Pets Die For" by Ann N. Martin, for all the gruesome details if you don't believe me.
Look into Innova, California Natural, Wellness, Artemis, and Canidae they are the best on the market right now.
Good Luck

I agree with some of the other posters about the possibility of it being caused by the food changes, however, there could also be another reason. Some times dogs who gobble down their food also injest quite a bit of air -- thus causing gas. To alleviate this problem, try putting a clean tennis ball in their food bowl with their food -- they will move the ball around to get at the food, thus slowing their eating down. Hope this helps!

It depends. If you are just arbitrarily changing foods for him for no medical reason you are causing this like the first poster said.
However, if you're changing foods BECAUSE of this and it's not doing any good your puppy needs you to consult a vet for further advice!!!
BTW: In the mean time try to see if you can get him to slow down while he eats. Try 'free choice' feeding him. If you're only feeding him once or twice a day then he gets hungry and eats too fast because of it.
I free choice feed all of my animals Purina Products, and have, for YEARS with GREAT results! You just have to use dry food and use canned food for treats.

Some dogs are more prone to gas... I had a pug and wow could he stink up the room!!!! Maybe a higher quality foos will help, pedigree is not a good food for dogs it is full of fillers(basically grounded up corn, which will make him poo more and may be causing the gas) Try something like iams I hope that helps!

First of all, everything has gas sometimes! Try staying with the same food consistently, don't give him "table scraps" and try elevating his food and water dishes. He won't take in as much air while he eats.

Well, everyone has gas. If it's just a couple times a day, then you're kind of lucky. Everyone farts...that's actually a book I saw one time. It was an "interesting" read.
But yes...everything that's alive will have gas.

Perhaps de problem is not the food itself, but the constant fast change of it. When you change one food brand for another, the change has to be slow, shifting proportions of the brands.

don't change his food too fast or too often, introduce it first as treats then in increasing amounts over about 2 weeks into his food. do you feed dry complete food? this is the best for avoiding wind so avoid any moist/jelly foods and rich treats. make sure he doesn't have the chance to steal and cat food either as this is bad for them! good luck with him, xx
