Try a spoonful of peanut butter if the drinking upside down doesn't help. Or try holding your breath for 20 or more secons - but don't breathe in while doing it.

I worked in a bar for a couple of years and after being told by others or being asked by customers that had the hick ups the one way is to swallow about quarter a mouth full of straight raspberry syrup

when i was little my dad always told me to get rid of hiccups you hold your breath for as long as you can . if those hiccups are still there hold your breath again do it as much as you need to get rid of them
or you need to get scared - thats hard to do if you tell someone to scare you you know its coming:P

Take a glass of water,put to your lips,take in water less than a drop every time.Continue to hold the glass to the lips while sipping like this.HICCUPS will surely go away before you finish the glass of water.
