I play pool at a pool hall wich is about an hour from where I live. I play on a nine foot gold crown. I live in a small town in rural Illinois and the only tables here are in the bars. My son is big enough to shoot now and I prefer to take him to the pool hall, it is a much better environment for him. I like teaching him to play and respect the game. The only time I play on the barbox is on league night because I have no choice if I wanna play in the league. I find it much easier to play position on the nine footer and they play much better than the bar tables in my opinion.Your lucky to have a table at home , If i had the room i would too.

Most of the time I play at Click's...mostly 8 foot table for tournaments there are on 8 footers.....find it a lot easier for position play on a 9 foot however....if playing for money depending on the player I prefer the nine footer unless I am outclassed with a better player then the 8 footer.....find it hard to control the heavier cue ball on the bar tables although the game is much easier......good luck on the tour!!
