Jerry Falwell is a grade A prime example of hate run amuck. If I'm not wrong, he's the most famous Baptist of all (besides John the..., that is).

Unfortunately, there are many people who are "ordained" by churches, yet act in a capacity that represents neither a Christian attitude, nor common sense. Baptists are at an even greater disadvantage because there are several denominations that claim to be "baptists", and baptist from different regions hold vary differing ideologies. However, they all are often represented by individuals like this particular individual, and it taints the respectability of baptist all across America. I truly hope that he will seek to be more open minded and informed about issues before contributing more to public discussion.

Baptist pastors are not according to God's heart. They do not believe that Acts 2:38 is the plan of salvation, baptism must be in Jesus' name, and that the Holy Ghost is a requirement for salvation.

You notice he says he is a preacher, not ordained minister. Anybody can say they are a preacher, and spout all the nonsense they want in the states. That'swhy cults ar growing stronger there.
